May.2007 In its May, 2007 issue, Ebony Magazine named Jan Willis one of its “Power 150,” that is, one of America’s “most influential African Americans.” The magazine cited Willis for her work in Buddhist Studies and listed her along with sixteen other African American leaders in religion

Dec.2006 Willis will be giving a lecture on Wednesday, February 7th, 2007 at 7:00PM at the
Cambridge Insight Meditation Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Nov. 2006 Jan Willis, Professor of Religion, has been selected by The Washington Post and Newsweek to join in an online discussion titled, “On Faith.” She joins such notables as Elie Wiesel, Desmond Tutu, Madeline Albright, Ingrid Matson and others. You can see Willis’s blog at this website.
